SOS Congo aspires to be at the forefront of the smart city revolution, specializing in sourcing, aggregating, and distributing renewable energy products that are sustainable and cost-effective. Our core focus lies in the distribution of technology-enhanced smart hybrid solar streetlamps with energy storage capacity and related products such as EV Charging and the next generation of smart displays. Smart streetlights are the heart of this transformation, revolutionizing how cities illuminate their streets while enhancing energy efficiency. By working together, we will build a smart, sustainable infrastructure that supplies communities with safe, renewable energy that is affordable and reliable.

Smart Cities

Smart Cities are municipalities and urban areas that are deploying connected technologies and IoT solutions to improve everything from critical infrastructure and public safety, to efficiencies in city lighting and energy usage, to better traffic flow and mobility – all of which stand to make cities better places to live, work and play while lowering their carbon footprint.

Internet of Things (IoT)

The Internet of Things, or loT, is a network of interrelated devices that connect and exchange data with other loT devices and the cloud. IoT devices are typically embedded with technology such as sensors and software that can include mechanical and digital machines and consumer objects.

A revolution is beginning with the marriage of LED street lighting with IoT. Adding internet protocol (IP) connectivity to LED, streetlights and expanding their sensing capabilities will open a wide range of innovative applications that will transform the way we interact with our environment. The IoT bridges the physical and digital worlds through the use of smart devices that can collect or transmit information. IoT is not a single technology. It is a convergence of sensors, devices, networks, and software that works synergistically to extract knowledge and insights and turn them into real-world ROl. With the loT, real-world objects are connected to the internet and interact with each other, mobile and web applications, in doing so these connected “things” become smart devices that can create, communicate, aggregate, analyze, or act on information.

The loT brings significant benefits to street lighting. Sensor-generated information provides in-depth grid awareness and real-time feedback that can be used to optimize the management and efficiency of street lighting systems.

The LED smart street lighting will play a major role in the loT. The SOS SolPol smart streetlamp is poised to be a key component in the world of the internet of Things (loT) with a wide variety of applications for their smart street lighting.
